Learn To Skate

The City of Rogers Learn-to-Skate group lessons focus on the benefits provided by learning through play, so your child will have fun while learning in a supportive, caring environment. Each child will receive 25 minutes of class instruction, a punch card for 10 open skate sessions, a year-round membership to USFSA Basic Skills, a skills book, and a certificate of completion. The Learn-to-Skate program is a great place to start for any aspiring hockey player or figure skater and helps encourage achievable levels of skater development.

Rogers Recreation Community Education Partnership

The new spring Community Education Adult/Early Childhood brochure is scheduled to be delivered March 13 with the Star News newspaper. In addition, the adult brochure and the spring/summer Community Education Youth brochure will be delivered to all schools on March 15. Program classes and activities range from infants, youth and adults.  Extra brochures are available at City Hall.

Rogers Parks & Recreation will be featuring upcoming activities including new and old Adult Leagues -- Men's 5 on 5 Basketball, Co-Ed Volleyball, and again Softball Leagues. In addition, Rogers' Farmers Market is growing and will be offering "How To It" classes and a community garden. For the young and youth, don't miss out on some new adventures - Frivolous Fun & Games, Sport Twisters, Sporty Fun, Outdoor Adventures; and not to mention some old favorites - Playground Program, Soccer, T-Ball, Learn to Skate, Penny Carnival and more. One last special event for everyone, a friendly challenge between cities within Hennepin County, the "Step To It Challenge", a walking/exercise program that's free and promotes healthy well-being through activity.
