Police Events

Night to Unite is exactly the same as National Night Out.  Night to Unite, however, is a Minnesota based program that supports Minnesota communities and businesses.  Night to Unite will celebrate and strengthen our neighborhoods and develop community partnerships.

Night to Unite is designed to:
1. Provide the opportunity for people to get to know one another in your neighborhood.
2. Develop neighborhood participation by bringing police and communities together.
3. Bring awareness to crime prevention and local law enforcement efforts!

Rogers Police appreciates your interest in Night to Unite- Unfortunately we are currently under construction and will not be able to participate in Night to Unite for 2014.

We anticipate a completion date near the end of August and will be hosting an open house in September. A specific date will be sent out to all past NTU participants and posted on our website.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at our open house

Build a project is in partnership with the Rogers Police Department and Home Depot.

The purpose of the program is to build positive experiences and relationships between students and law enforcement officers. Students work with officers and Home Depot employees to build a small tool box, bird house or other items from scratch. It truly reduces barriers that kids might feel about unformed officers, as they team up together to complete the project.

The Rogers Police Department conducts this event with the middle and elementary schools In Rogers approximately 3 times and year.

Chief Beahen is the chair of Yellow Ribbon Community Committee. The committee is leading our community toward receiving formal recognition from the State, designating Rogers as a certified Yellow Ribbon Community.

Yellow Ribbon Cities are formed to support our current community members and their families who are serving on active duty with the armed forces, as well as former veterans and their families.

Support comes in terms of businesses and organizations helping with recruitment processes for employment that involve our veterans, employee recognition for vets and their families, on-going support of reintegration efforts and counselling, support of community wide events, and finally a commitment to honour those who have faithfully served our country.

As a side benefit, we intend to unify our entire community, by bringing everyone together as one, with a single goal in mind – to provide the appropriate support and care that is deserved of our military veterans and their families.

The Rogers Police Department is an annual sponsor of Blood Drives for Memorial Blood Centers

The Rogers Police Department also participates in “Memorial Blood Centers’ Battle of the Badges”, including police, fire and emergency medical personnel, to save lives by increasing blood donation.

The Rogers Police Department and Rogers Target Store partner over the Holiday Season for “Shop with a Cop”. The event is designed to facilitate positive relationships between law enforcement and our community youth.

Students are hand selected for participation, with the help of the schools, in consideration of the positive impact the experience may have in a variety of individual situations.

Students receive donated Target Gift Cards. Police and Target Associates team up with students with the goal of connecting with them while helping students select gifts for the holidays.

It has been a truly rewarding experience for all involved!
