The Rogers Police Department, in partnership with our community, provides impartial, ethical, and professional law enforcement service.

According to Minnesota Motor Vehicle Crash Facts 2010, there were 411 traffic deaths in 2010—a third consecutive annual drop and another positive step from the last decade when 550–650 people were killed annually. In 2010, the City of Rogers had a reported total of 243 crashes, 62 involving personal injury (86 persons injured) and 181 were damage to property. There were 0 fatalities.

This past Labor Day weekend the Rogers Police Department received three reports of attempted or actual burglaries.
The first burglary occurred early Saturday morning at Dunn Brothers Coffee. Forced entry was made and no items or money was taken.
The second burglary occurred on Sunday morning between 9:30am and 2:00pm at a residence on Jessica Drive. Forced entry was made and approximately $1,400 in electronics and jewelry were taken.

Now that the 2011-2012 school year is upon us, it is important for drivers of motor vehicles to be aware of the school bus and reduced speed in a school zone laws.
According to Minnesota Traffic Law 169.14 Sub 5a:
"School speed limits shall be in effect when children are present, going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours or during school recess periods."

On August 20th at approximately 11:45 p.m. Rogers Officers were called to a residence on Gadwall Court on a burglary complaint. The victim met officers and explained that while searching his residence, he located an unknown male in his attached garage. The male had fled the scene prior to officer's arrival.

The Rogers Police Department has observed an increase of disability or handicap parking violations. It is a misdemeanor offense for violating the disability parking provisions as prescribed by Minnesota State Statutes 169.345 and 169.346.
